WHAT'S INCLUDED?
All bike rentals include helmet and lock with flat or clipless pedals.
Be sure to state your pedal preference at time of reservation.
We'll give your our recommendations for the best route and local attractions (including a map)!
Interested in Mountain Bike Trail Maps? See links in menu above and stay tuned for our upcoming mountain bikes rentals!
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?
Shoes and apparel are not available for rent.
Car bike racks are not available for rent.
Our bikes are not equipped with racks or panniers, so you may want to consider bringing a backpack for longer rides.
We do not rent kids road bikes because there are no designated road bike trails. Stay tuned for kids mountain bike rentals!
FULL DAY RENTAL RATES
Sorry - no hourly rentals
Flat Barred Road Bike (comfortable, upright position): $45 per day
Road Bike (For experienced, competitive cyclists. Drop handlebars, tightly spaced gear ratios, longer distances and speed.): $55 per day
BIKE RENTALS MAY BE AVAILABLE BY APPT OUTSIDE OF RETAIL HOURS.
We will do our best to accommodate. Occasionally, there may be an additional fee.
*Typical Cut-off time for daily rentals 2 hours before closing during Daylight Savings time; earlier during Standard Time.
WHY THE CUT-OFF TIME?
*We have implemented a cut-off time for day bike rentals because we want ensure that you are set up appropriately on your rental bike, your paperwork and pre-auths are completed and that we give you the routes that suit your cycling fitness level and time available for riding.
Set up time can take 15-30 minutes. There are no boardwalks here and very few flat roads, so you need time to see what you want to see!
We are taking our time to ensure you have the gear and information you need to enjoy the best ride possible and get your money's worth.
PAYMENT
Payment of the rental fees up front holds your reservation. We are sorry, but there are no refunds for bike rentals. You will be required to provide a valid driver's license or state ID card and you also may be be required to leave a credit card deposit ($300 for each flat barred bike and $600 for each road bike) at time of pickup. Provided that you return the bikes in good condition, any pre-authorization will drop off. Bank processing varies and the pre-authorization amount may remain on your card for up to 10 days, and may reduce your available funds. If you do not return the bike, return it in poor condition, or are late returning the bike and we do not hear from you, your card may be charged the full deposit, which will not be refundable.

Road Bike
The address of Edoardo Bianchi's first workshop in Milan was 7 Via Nirone, so this is where the Bianchi Via Nirone got its name. This is a responsive and rigid frame in triple-butted 6061-series aluminum throughout with hydroformed sections to ensure the highest standards of design and performance.

Flat Barred Road Bike
Our flat bared road bikes are perfect for those who are not comfortable with drop bars and prefer to sit a bit more upright. With aluminum frames and plenty of gears, you'll be set up for a comfortable and efficient ride!
Know Before You Go
Vashon/Maury Islands are beautiful, cycling-friendly places to enjoy the Puget Sound, our quaint town, beautiful parks and incredible scenery. You will find parks and restroom facilities for pit stops along your way as well as very helpful locals willing to assist. YOU SHOULD KNOW that it is very hilly here including the routes to and from the north end and south end ferry docks, so adequate apparel, hydration and nutrition is very important. There are grocery and convenience stores as well as restaurants and coffee shops located around the uptown area of Vashon Island. Maury Island, however, has very limited commerce, so plan ahead. We recommend you bring a water resistent/wind resistent jacket, a breathable top layer and comfortable shorts/pants tights and shoes to wear.
ISLAND TRANSPORTATION
BUS: Before or after your ride, there is a King County Bus that runs up from the south end ferry dock (Talequah Ferry) to the north end ferry dock (Vashon Ferry). There is a second bus that goes from the Vashon Ferry (North end) to Maury Island/Dockton. Both busses tend to run during normal commuting hours. Saturday/Sunday bus schedules are limited. We recommend visiting the King County website for more information.
UBER: Contact Doug at Vashon Rideshare via phone or text at (206)-795-4344 to make arrangements. Reservations are recommended.
Vashon Shuttle: Make your reservations online at http://www.vashonshuttle.com/home. (Make sure to read the FAQs section regarding confirming your registration).
